Rev. Howard Chan is a native New Yorker. He has been serving in ministry since 1984 when he accepted a position as campus minister with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship. Prior to joining InterVarsity, Howard worked in the business world for thirteen years. He found the transition to InterVarsity challenging as his new position did not only mean he would have to take a significant cut in salary, but he would also need to fund-raise his salary and ministry expenses; a totally new and foreign experience. Howard had no idea if his fund-raising efforts would succeed or flop. What he did know was that if God had, In fact, called him to serve InterVarsity, he would provide. God never fails. In each of the years Howard served InterVarsity, God richly blessed him with more than he needed for that year.
In 1988, Howard left InterVarsity and entered seminary where he graduated with a Master of Divinity in June of 1991. Upon graduation, he accepted a position as English Ministry (EM) Pastor at Queens Herald Church (QHC). Howard faithfully served QHC until Dec, 2000. In Jan, 2001 Howard agreed to serve as the full-time Executive Director of PaLM. Upon taking on the role of Executive Director of PaLM, Howard broadened PaLM’s mission to include and incorporate Korean EM pastors and their congregations since many of their problems and issues were similar to the EM issues of the Chinese church. Howard is married to Fay. They have three lovely daughters named Samantha, Pamela and Tamaria. |

Rev. Greg Woo has officially lived in New York City longer than his birthplace of New Orleans. He has been serving at Faith Bible Church for 18 years, pastoring for the last 12 years in English-speaking ministries. It was at this church that he met his calling and his beautiful wife Linda. Together, they created a family with a rambunctious three year old. As a family, they surround themselves around three great F’s: Family, Friends, and Food. His one great desire is to unite churches to work together to demonstrate an authentic hope in Christ by raising next generation leaders to meet the needs of the next generation.
