Carol holds an MA Biblical Counseling from Westminster Theological Seminary (Glenside, PA) and a BS Marketing, International Business from NYU Stern School of Business (New York, NY).
She began lay counseling as a response to the growing need in the local church and shortly after, decided to pursue formal training to be better equipped, as well as, for her own spiritual formation. She has over twenty years of experience in NYC serving in both lay and full-time urban ministry settings including: Youth and children’s ministries, Discipleship, Mentoring supervision, Prayer, Spiritual care, and Counseling.
Carol is especially open to walking alongside women who are struggling with stress management, life transitions and direction, relationship issues, marriage, parenting, and intergenerational conflict. She also has particular compassion for those suffering from ministry burnout, relational exhaustion and joyless living, and wants to help them reach a place of spiritual wellness.
Prior to counseling, Carol worked in theater production and still adores live performance, music and all the arts. She also enjoys antique hunting, exploring new places, cultural experiences, food and cooking with her family. She is an immigrant from Hong Kong and a near lifelong New Yorker.
