CEMCQ is an evangelical independent church that was established in 1990 as a church plant from the original church located in Manhattan, New York. Today we are a multi-ethnic, multi-generational congregation that serves all communities.
Candidate Duties and Responsibilities
The CMC will have responsibilities for planning and organizing children’s ministry activities during the weekly Sunday worship time, the After-School Homework Program during the school year and the one-week Vacation Bible School during the summer. The CMC will oversee a team of church volunteers and paid staff as required.

Candidate Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, plan and organize programs and activities for the children during Sunday worship time.
- Organize and oversee the After-School Homework Program for elementary school aged children during the school year (Monday to Thursday from September to June).
- Organize and oversee the one-week summer Vacation Bible School program.
- Communicate regularly with parents to coordinate and inform them of current and future programs and activities.
- Recruit, train, direct and coordinate ministry teams for Sunday school, the After-School Homework Program and the one-week summer Vacation Bible School.

Candidate Requirements
- The CMC should have some prior ministry experience in teaching and working with young children.
- The CMC will work closely in a team environment with the lead pastor, church leadership and volunteers in the church.
- Minimum qualifications include: a born-again Christian, character requirements as stated in Galatians 5:22-26, good communication skills, and a heart and desire for children’s ministry.
