Short-Term Mission Applicants under the age of 18 and Youth Groups
Generally, this trip is geared for INDIVIDUAL adults and families (that is to not youth groups). However, we are willing to consider individuals (who are coming without their families) under the age of 18 and/or SMALL youth groups under the following circumstances.
Individuals ages 16 and 17

Individuals ages 16 and 17
- The applicant will be given a PaLM Parental Consent and a Hanta Virus Disclosure Forms for completion and signature of his/her consenting parent(s).
- The applicant must bring on the trip a surrogate adult who agrees to be responsible for him/her while on the trip or find an adult (18 and above) team member on the trip who is willing to serve as his/her surrogate parent.
- If a parent of the individual is applying to go on the trip concurrently, the above listed requirements will not be necessary.
Youth Groups
- Groups of 15 (including adults) or less from one church may apply for our trip.
- For every four youth, an accompanying responsible adult from that church must apply and go on the trip.
- We limit the size of youth groups because important team positions must be filled by the adults going on our trip.
- Due to team size limitations, only one youth group of fifteen from one church will be accepted for our trip for any particular year.
- If more than one youth group applies in the same year, all may apply but the PaLM STM Committee will determine which group will go.
- If a youth group is comprised of less than fifteen, another group may apply for those empty slots.
- Upon expiration of the final application deadline, additional youth slots may be available if the team is sufficiently comprised of the needed adult positions.
