Candidate Duties and Responsibilities

Part-Time Position

• Preach: Regular preaching for English service, special or pulpit supply for Chinese service.
• Teach Sunday school (Adult).
• Work in conjunction with the Chinese congregation pastor on Church matters.
• Lead weekday Bible study and prayer meetings.
• Attend church planning meetings.

Full-Time Position (In addition to Part-Time Responsibilities)

• Print Sunday programs (Can delegate to English worship board).
• Visitation: routine visitation for English speaking members, special or team visitation for entire membership (i.e. illness, conflict, spiritual warfare).
• Council to Deacon Board, Church Council, Church boards and Church committees.
• Train and equip members to grow in their faith, share the gospel and become lay leaders.
• Facilitate God’s vision for the English speaking members as well as God’s vision for the entire Church and keeping Unity in spirit as a guiding principle.
•  Provide spiritual counseling for church members when needed.

Ministry Position Description

A spiritual leader and shepherd for the entire church with a specific emphasis toward the English-speaking members.

• Fluent in English
• Familiar with Chinese culture
