Ministry Position Description
The Chinese Evangel Mission Church of Queens is seeking a full-time NextGen Pastor with a heart for ministering to an urban, English-speaking congregation located in Bayside, New York (Queens).
Candidate Duties and Responsibilities
The NextGen Pastor candidate should have some prior ministry experience working with youth (middle and high school levels), and young adults (post high school and post college). The NextGen Pastor will work closely in a team environment with other pastors, lay church leadership and volunteer youth and young adult advisors in the church. The NextGen Pastor will have responsibilities for planning, organizing and overseeing ministry programs and activities such as Bible Studies; fellowship events; and outreach and service projects. The NextGen Pastor should be able to teach and disciple the youth and young adults.
The NextGen Pastor also provides spiritual insight to the congregation, especially on matters related to youth and young adults.
Candidate Requirements
The NextGen Pastor should be able to teach and disciple the youth and young adults. Minimum qualifications include: a born-again Christian, character requirements as stated in Galatians 5:22-26, good communication skills; a heart and desire for youth and young adult ministries, and prior experience working with the respective age groups.
