OCM Grace is a sister church of the Oversea Chinese Mission family of churches. We are a non-denominational community church in northern New Jersey with English and Chinese ministries. Our English congregation is multicultural, comprised of adults, children, and youth. The church is about 12 miles outside of NYC Manhattan.
Ministry Position Description
We are seeking a spiritually mature and biblically grounded multicultural ministry pastor to lead, shepherd, and grow the English speaking congregation. This pastor will provide preaching, discipleship, pastoral care, leadership development and ministry coordination while supporting the church's broader vision.

Candidate Duties and Responsibilities
- Preach and teach God’s Word
- Shepherd and disciple the English-speaking congregation through prayer, counseling, visitation, and spiritual care
- Work with ministry leaders and volunteers to plan worship services, discipleship efforts, and outreach opportunities
- Help guide the English Ministry’s annual calendar, ministry goals, and related administrative needs
- Train, collaborate, and equip lay leaders and church staff for effective ministry
- Develop or give guidance on weekly lesson plans for adult, youth, and children Sunday School
- Lead weekly adult bible studies
- Support church-wide meetings, activities, and cooperative ministry
Candidate Requirements
- A clear calling to pastoral ministry and a life marked by Christian maturity, humility, and a vibrant walk with Christ.
- A Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or an equivalent graduate-level degree from an accredited theological institution.
- At least 3 years of pastoral ministry experience, including preaching, pastoral care, and church administration.
- Strong ability to disciple others, develop leaders, and serve effectively in a team setting.
- A relational, servant-hearted approach to ministry with a heart for the church’s multicultural English speaking congregation.
- Preferably ordained, but not required.
