Event details: Date: Tuesday, February 16, 2010 Time: 6:30pm - 8:30pm Location: Overseas Chinese Mission Church Street: 154 Hester Street City/Town: New York, NY For February we have Laura Speiller come and speak about "Serving Others through Listening and Presence." This workshop will explore how to minister to hurting or struggling people by listening with our head, heart and body. We will discuss what is needed to help another person to process difficult emotions. After each session we have an opportunity to fellowship at a local restaurant with a dinner provided by Pastoral and Laity Ministries. Our hope is that it is an enriching time for others to meet other leaders and share our ministry stories. Laura Speiller serves as Ministry Fellows faculty at City Seminary of New York, prior to that she served as a Ministry Pastor at New Life Fellowship Church in Queens for 10 years. Her ministry focus is spiritual formation. She holds an M.A. in Urban Ministry and Mission from Westminster Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing her D.Min. in Transformational Urban Ministry from Bakke Graduate University. Laura lives in Flushing with her family.
